For his inspiring new book – The Future Leader – Jacob Morgan interviewed over 140 of the world’s top CEOs and surveyed nearly 14,000 people to identify the nine skills and mindsets which will be required to lead in the next decade and beyond.

Looked at through the lens of the Covid-19 pandemic, I think these are the skills and mindsets will be more critical than ever. However, it is the tenth quality Jacob adds to the list at the end of the book which stands out to me at the current time – Optimism.

“As a leader you have to wake up each day believing that the future can be better than it is today – and that you can help build that better future.”
