With over 30 years of experience in human resources, Sonya is a seasoned HR leader renowned for delivering comprehensive solutions across employee relations, recruitment and retention, performance management, and strategic planning. Her expertise spans benefits administration, payroll, HRIS, and talent management systems, displaying her ability to modernize HR operations for diverse, multi-location organizations.

A proven leader in talent management, Sonya specializes in leadership and organizational development. Having worked in Central America, she brings a distinctive ability to address the needs of today’s multicultural workforce, fostering inclusive and dynamic workplace environments.

Before transitioning into consultancy, Sonya served as Director of Human Resources and Chief People Executive for Morris Bank. She has 17 years of experience as the top HR executive, holding senior leadership roles in industries such as banking, pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, IT, and healthcare.

Throughout her career, Sonya has demonstrated exceptional skills in mentoring and motivating HR teams, managing operations for up to 2,200 employees across fourteen locations nationwide. Her strategic vision has driven measurable success, including the implementation of performance management systems, compensation programs, seamless mergers and acquisitions, and innovative initiatives that have consistently enhanced workforce engagement, organizational performance, and operational efficiency.

Sonya obtained her BBA in Management and Human Resources Management from Georgia Southern University and is a member of the National and local SHRM chapters.
